Institut de Chimie Physique - UMR8000
The Institut de Chimie Physique (Institute for Physical Chemistry) is a joined research unit of the CNRS and the Université Paris-Saclay, located on the Orsay campus. Its research activities are anchored in Chemistry, including interdisciplinary projects at the interface of Physics and Life Sciences. Its 140 members, including permanent staff, PhD students, post-doc researchers and interns lead a research activities encompassing several topics: method developments in analytical chemistry, modelling and time-resolved spectro-imaging, chemistry under ionizing radiation, spectroscopy and photo-induced processes, nano-objects : synthesis, characterization, applications, redox biology and biological analysis. Our research work finds applications in multiple fields such as the production and storage of green energy, sustainable growth through photocatalyzed waste treatment, as well as biomedical diagnostics, imaging and nano-medicine.
