- November 2024: Arrival of a new instrument on the SMAS platform, the Photosynapt, which will be available to CLIO users within the PEPR LUMA program.
- November 2024 : CLIO welcomes Lucas Schwob, a researcher from DESY in Hamburg, as a visiting scholar at Université Paris-Saclay from November 4 to 29.
- October 4, 2024: Kick-off meeting for the ANR SAINBIOSIS project at DESY, Hamburg.
- September 2024: Completion of the new klystron installation and accelerator upgrade. CLIO is reopening to external users in January 2025.
- July 2024: Funding secured from PEPR LUMA to enhance SMAS with a new Nd pump laser for the OPO/OPA system and a cold trap to be installed on the Photosynapt.
- July 2024: Arrival of Romaric Lenk, the new technical manager for the SMAS platform.
- June 2024: CLIO co-organizes the Science@FELs2024 conference in Paris.
- May 2024: Launch of the ANR SAINBIOSIS project (focused on sulfur-aromatic interactions in biomolecules), led by Debora Scuderi in collaboration with Lucas Schwob in Hamburg.
