The Ile de France region has awarded a grant of €895,000 under the SESAME2024 call for projects to the project led by the Institut de Chimie Physique in partnership with laboratories at the Université Paris-Saclay, in the Ile de France region and in Europe, to upgrade the CLIO/SMAS IRMPD spectroscopy platform. This grant will enable the purchase of IR lasers for the platform and the installation of two new ion trap mass spectrometers, including one with very high resolution and a very high magnetic field. The CLIO/SMAS platform at ICP is strongly involved in national networks such as Infrastructure de recherche Infranalytics and the PEPR LUMA, which are also supporting this project.
