Commitment to University Teaching
The faculty members of the Institute of Physical Chemistry (ICP) play an active role in the academic management of teaching at Université Paris-Saclay, both within the Faculty of Sciences at Orsay and at the IUT of Orsay.
The courses offered cover a wide range of subjects, primarily centered around chemistry and reflecting the Institute's areas of expertise: electrochemistry, thermodynamics, atomic and molecular orbitals, quantum chemistry, kinetics, mass spectrometry, chromatography, optical spectroscopies, and biophysical chemistry. These topics are largely aligned with section 31 of the CNU. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the Institute, some faculty members are also associated with other sections in Biology and Physics.
This teaching activity is complemented by the continuous efforts of ICP researchers and faculty members to publish educational materials and resources, contributing to the evolution of teaching practices and the dissemination of knowledge.

PhD Candidates and Postdoctoral Researchers
The ICP hosts between 30 and 40 PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers.
Beyond their scientific work, PhD candidates and postdocs contribute to the Institute's scientific community by organizing events such as the Annual Doctoral Day and other informal gatherings with their peers, young interns, and other laboratory members.
Depending on their specialization, PhD candidates are generally enrolled in the following doctoral schools:

As part of its mission to train through research, the ICP welcomes many students each year for research internships, whether they are enrolled in Bachelor’s, Master’s, or professional programs such as IUT, BTS, and engineering schools. Additional students also participate in immersion projects or research tutoring programs.
